Catapult shooting down orbital laser platform

Is this behavior intended?

I'm not sure if it is intended, but I noticed this happening in the Alpha and would quickly make a catapult under any stationary enemy satellites I could find to knock them down.

Probably not intended, then the ion defense would be redundant.

Hey man, at least they can't target air anymore.

Actually that was an intended change so they can do it some patches ago. If its still supposed to be the case... who knows?
