Today I activated my beta, and upon installing, I encountered a problem. When I tried to launch. there was an error message, saying the file "d3dx9.dll" was missing. The last time I tried to install a .dll onto my computer, I downloaded a lot of viruses with it. I'm not saying it's not worth risking this just to play an awesome game, but (not being intentionally rude), I would prefer my games to have all of the necessary files.
Oh dear Lord, the dreaded 'd3dx9.dll' issue. This took me days to figure out a year or so ago. I still have nightmares about it. I wish you luck, and hope that someone more competent than me will be along shortly to help you
Here's a link to Direct X oh wait... it's not letting me link as im a new poster Just google Direct X, first link at the top - the Microsoft one. It's safe. Trust me I work in IT and I did not tell you to reboot to fix the problem
if you have steam installed, go install a couple of steam games and check their files for the .dll, easiest way to get it, and safest too.
Thankyou all, My drivers were updated recently I brought the game DIRECTLY from uberent, I don't use steam I will install it when I have a bit more time
