I just had my whole army blown up by a single nuke :/ I'm not used to turtling actually paying off in a strategy game. Gotta learn the hard way with no match making rating system right now...
Turtling rarely helps in this game actually. Just expand like crazy, protect your commander, and attack on multiple fronts. That's the most effective defense against turtlers. The thing about this game is you can always expand across an entire planet to grow your economy to 20 times your opponent. Throw colossal armies with artillery at a turtler to kill them. EDIT: yes, this game is super fun.
