I guess many of you remember this incredible trailer done by THQ for Supreme Commander release. (By the way, i hope Uber will have time to make such kind of epic trailer for PA release, while actually i know it can take a lot of time to do). at 0:57 you can see all these bots running very fast in the middle of the commander base. When i saw this in the trailer, i really hoped to get the same in game. But even if Supcom was trully revolutionary, i never had the same feeling while in game. In PA, bots just run so quickly and smoothly, just like they do in Supcom trailer. It's pretty much the same for combats which too much are really full of energy in PA. Really much more than in Supcom. So, for the very first time what we've been promised in a trailer (PA original kickstarter trailer) is here, and even better than i could expect. Thanks Uber
Had exactly the same feeling when i compared supcom trailer w/ its gameplay. i mostly hated how they balanced their tiers, and the units in them im hoping PA will be what i hoped to find in Supcom,
I'm fairly certain Steve made that trailer. And yes there will be more trailers including a new beta trailer that is being made tonight.
I remember that trailer, it had me so hyped for the game. The sheer epicness of it all was overwhelming: the scale, the unit count, the strategic zoom, the battles on land, sea and air, the experimentals, the nukes. I was sure Supcom was going to be the best RTS ever and that I would probably be playing it for a decade. Watching it again now, I still feel some of that excitement, but there's also the feeling of a missed opportunity. While I think Supcom was a very good game, it could've been a timeless classic instead. I too hope that PA can deliver where Supcom faltered. I think it has the potential to do so, let's see how it turns out. Looking forward to that trailer!
With the latest changes of FAF, where factories are as good as assisting but more convenient to use, we are there too
