So, this unit cannon shown in the Visualization. (I couldnt find a thread about this...) Will it launch just bots, as it did in the video? Or will it be able to launch tier 1 and tier 2 bots, and tanks?
Whatever is best for gameplay. This is a case where even the developers will not have concrete information to tell you.
Maybe we even see someday a building Cannon? Why only units? Say NO to rasicm Srsly, wait for the Devs. to implement it first. Then we can tell them our opinion and they will look into it
You're right! Since we have machines that can make ANYTHING, why not have the ability to make jello? Then we can sneak-prank the enemies. They'll come back and they're base will be drowning and stuck in jello! Or other pranks. A unit that attaches to buildings and causes them to spray out balloons instead of units! Or even creating giant invisible saran-wrap walls between two mountains making causing bots to run into them and get flung back. Hilarious! And commander plushies. We should be able to make those as diversionary projectiles so our opponents aren't sure of which commander to shoot! The giant one with guns, or the cute squishy ones you just want to hug!
Why not make a galaxy buster which destroys everything and costs 1 metal? And I like the idea, just don't drive it too far (I think buildings is quite far. Imagine the size of the cannon...).
I think we should have a planet launcher. I mean, why launch individual units when you can fire a planet off the face of itself.
LOL... good one I'm not sure about having something so similar to the Noah Experimental Unit Cannon from SupCom2 is a great idea, but in PA I think there could definitely be a place for it. I would like to see it in action first though before commenting because I think there might be other better less wacky ways to move units from one planet to the next.
what would the planet launcher sit on and it would have to be bigger then the planet to launch it i think a asteroid launcher would be better : P
No no no, it shoots a baseball sized object into orbit, which has a lathe built in. As it flies towards the target it builds the baseball-object bigger and bigger until it's planet sized, and then kaboom! You can shoot them very fast, it's just requires you to have the economy to build a planet.
even if it was sarcasm it would still be epic to have in galactic war as a special unit/building asteroid launcher as a base transportation system across solar systems similar to the EGG system you wanted to use for when you start out in skirmish/multiplayer modes
