I bought Planetary Annihilation today(from steam) and as soon as I clicked to play the game window opened then the message appeared "PA.exe has stopped working" I have no clue what to do, Ive searched for solutions but none seem to work, Ive tried updating my sound and video card but that didnt work and its only caused the sides of my computer to go off screen :/ i tried uninstalling it then reinstalling PA but that didnt work either, I also downloaded all windows updates but that didnt do anything either. Could someone please help me with a solution? Its making me want to pull my hair out with the fact that I have maybe spent £53 on a game that wont even work for me.
P.s Im not good with technical terms so if a solution requires me to go through a bunch of files or look through my computer systems please explain them parts in great detail. thanks

Please attach your DxDiag.txt. Create/edit post and upload it via "Upload attachment".

You need to press "Ok" (or just Enter keyboard button) after. ;)

Seems like you still using outdated video driver:
    Download new driver here:
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w ... sta64.aspx

You can also try to use "Latest Beta Driver", it's should give you a bit more performance.

Schunck - in general if you see a driver date older than very late 2012 or from 2013, first thing you should do is update your driver " Driver Date/Size: 1/27/2011 02:57:14"

The Intel Integrated HD 3000 is a fairly low powered chip set, but it should still be able to run the game. Just make sure you find the absolute latest drivers from Intel.

That might actually be part of the problem then, if it's not actually listing it as a display adapter. It may be disabled or otherwise non-functional. All display adapters should (I believe) show up in the DXDiag section. On my computer, the Intel integrated doesn't show up at all because I have it explicitly disabled, but on my laptop, both IIHD and ATI show up.

First of all, seems like you run game on integrated. Check this video:

You need set PA.exe to run on your Nvidia card.

Anyway as garat said you should get latest drivers for your hardware.
    For Nvidia card:
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
    And for Intel HD too:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22628
It's not used for games, but might improve general performance of your system.

Unfortunately it's not true for Nvidia Optimus setups. On most laptops Nvidia graphics only might access display though Intel card, hardware just physically connected this way (you just can't turn off Intel GPU).

When you aren't using any app on Nvidia GPU it's should be disabled, it's why you can't see it in Display Devices.

    Your problem is this:
    Code:
    Memory: 2048MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Game won't run on this hardware, it's way below minimal system requirements.

You need to buy a new computer. ;)

    Your problem is here:
    Code:
    Memory: 2048MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 2046MB RAM
    ...
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT
2GB of RAM just not enough to run game and video card not supported required version of OpenGL.
Unfortunately your hardware is bellow minimum requirements and you can't run PA on this computer.

Then better get desktop with at least 6GB of RAM, new video card and 64-bit OS.
Just want warn you that 32-bit OS it's not better choice for this game.
