New Community Manager: Brad Nicholson

While this isn't PA specific, but more of an Uber announcement, we're pleased to announce Brad Nicholson will be joining Team Uber Seattle in September. We'll be cross posting in the other main forums.

Wow! Thanks! Listen, this is an awesome thing that's happening right now, and I'm super stoked to be a part of it. I can't wait to get to know you all and say what's up. Also, it'll be great to start hearing what's on your mind about Uber's games.

A little bit about me, if you didn't know: I've been writing about games for a really long time across a variety of web sites. When I'm not doing that, I'm playing a MOBA or a shooter or a strat game with friends. I'm also a huge fan of Robocop. I have the first movie basically memorized line-for-line. Oh! I lift weights, too. A lot of them. It's a fun hobby.

But anyway, it's a pleasure! And I can't wait to start! I'm finishing up my last week at my current job and towards the end of next week I'll be moving across the US, so I won't be immediately reachable for a little bit. I'll be lurking, though!

So sad to see him leave Touch Arcade. He was the main reason I really liked that site, because most iOS sites are stuck balancing "hardcore" and "casual" news. He made it fun.

I have never been good at or really enjoyed mutliplayer games, but screw it! I will totally buy whatever video games UBER releases. Planetary Annihilation looks cool and I would have only appreciated it from a distance, because I feel I would be terrible at it. RTS games look really stressful* and seem to take a lot of mental work.

*I just died in Spelunky with good items (Jetpack and about 20 bombs most importantly) my first time in the City of Gold while on a Hell run. The weird thing is it was actually a relief.
