Hello fellow annihilators! So having backed the original Kickstarter and upgraded from beta to alpha, I've played a few games against the AI and come to the conclusion that I need to play against some actual people whilst the AI is being developed, since it really doesn't provide a challenge yet. I've played RTS games since Dune 2, and especially loved TA and both SupCom games, but I've never played against other people before (so I won't be very good!). I live in the UK and generally will only have time to play in the late evening (10pm onwards) and weekends. So far I've found the interface to find games rather confusing, so the only thing I can think of is to arrange things in advance. How do all of you play arrange games against each other? Two points to raise here: #1 There's the Gentleman's lounge and IRC - details here - https://forums.uberent.com/threads/pa-alpha-gentlemens-ladder.48472/ #2 There are a number of communities around here which have teamspeaks, forums etc for keeping in touch and arranging matches. You might want to consider joining one of those for organised play!
Thanks for your response. I did see the gentleman's ladder thread, but I got the impression it was more about serious competition than friendly play. But I didn't notice the IRC channel, so I'll definitely join that. Guess I'll keep trying to search for PA groups.

Thanks guys, just played a few games now after finding the IRC channel (which I can highly recommend). Got slaughtered, but a lot more fun that playing against the AI (as it is right now; can't wait to see what Sorian implements in the future!). Lots to learn!
