I am happy to report that PA runs fine on Windows Server 2008 R2. Its not surprising really considering that 2k8r2 and Windows 7 share something like 95% of the same code base but it is nice none the less.

Also PA runs great on an AMD A10-6800K APU with 8 gigs of RAM and no stand alone GPU. Since this is the 2k8r2 box and it happens to also be a domain controller, DNS server, and a RADIUS server I think that it is safe to assume that lesser APUs will run PA very well on a more application optimized OS like Windows 7 that isn't doing as many things in the background.

Awesome that it works though ;)

We're still running Server 2003 at my work , so even if I wanted to sneak it on it wouldn't run.

    That's a bit cheeky ;)

I'd never get away with it here - we have an open-plan office and at any given time several people can see my screen. I can just about get away with posting on forums from work (as long as I'm typing something, they assume I'm working ;)) but I think having robots killing each other on my screen might raise a few eyebrows...

"It's just a burn-in test for the new RAM"

Alas I'm not a techie - I'm a shipbroker. I cannot think of a single feasible reason to justify exploding robots on my screen :p

If someone can make a mod that makes it look like this, I might be able to :D
