Sorry if this is a repost, but I didn't see it anywhere in my quick 10 minute search. I'm an early backer, obviously, and also a steam fanatic. I'd love to have the official early-access game in my steam inventory, so I don't have to manage it outside of their platform. Is there a way I can do this without forking over an extra $70? Thanks!
Yes, open this link: https://store.uberent.com/Account/MyKeys Choose your key and convert it to Steam. There is two important points you need to know: You obviously cannot convert it back to Ubernet store, so technically you'll be Steam client When you convert it's to Steam your access to Ubernet launcher will be revoked, so you need to play though Steam once, it's should link your Uber and Steam accounts. If you Linux user you need to link accounts manually here (after you activated Steam key): https://uberent.com/user/linksteam Some Mac users also seems to have problem with automatic account linking.
ssx, the faq next to the key page say that you don't lose your ubernet launcher acces when you redeem the steam key: You can convert this key into a Steam key, which you can use to download and play the game on Steam. When you convert an UberNet key to a Steam key, you must activate the key in Steam before you can play Planetary Annihilation again. Once you activate the Steam key, you will be able to play Planetary Annihilation on both Steam and the UberNet launcher.
When you generate steam key your access to game revoked, you can't use launcher. When you activated key on Steam and get P.A in your library you still can't use Uber launcher. When you run PA though Steam first time it's automatically link your Steam and Uber accounts, so now you can use Uber launcher again. But automatical linking don't work for Linux users and sometimes for Mac users too. So if you have PA in steam and your accounts aren't linked you won't able to use Uber launcher for obvious reason (Uber can't sure you own license). I think this message is more clear.
