    Hello,

I am just wondering if there are plans on removing GConf as a dependancy? Or if you will consider removing it?

Not everyone has a Gnome system, and I would rather not install Gnome components when I'm not running Gnome at all.

I have not yet tried the latest build, but I am going to assume it's still a dependancy.

    Thank you! :)

They can't remove it because it's dependency of Coherent UI which based on Chromium.
E.g list of dependencies of Coherent_Host.bin:
Uber don't have source code for Coherent, so they can't fix it.

Thank you for the fast response. That is alright, then I'll just have to persuade my OCD to live with it being installed.

Actually, gconf is just an optional dependency of chromium, and it can be build without it. So technically, it should be possible.

I understand that, but Uber doesn't have source code, so they can't just make their own build.

They only might ask Coherent developers to make it for them. Everything is so hard in proprietary world. :D
