pa.exe has stopped working error message

I bought this game on steam recently. it keeps giving me this error message "pa.exe has stopped working" Plz help

Please check the FAQ, and the posts on Steam about this.

First and foremost, please update all your drivers, most especially your video drivers. If you run DXdiag and attach the dxdiag.txt here, we can help further, but in almost all cases of this error, it is out of date video drivers.

I have tried updating all drivers and still doesn't work.

Please attach your DxDiag.txt, so we can check why it's happen.

Your probably have some issue related to hybrid graphics. E.g game might run on wrong videocard.

If yes, please download grab "AMD Mobility Radeon™ Driver Verification Tool" here:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w ... n7-64.aspx
And run it, it's should get you drivers you need. If it's return you error please post error (or screenshot) here.

PS: Also you might try to install "Latest Beta Driver", but it's can break your system, so you do that on your own risk. Backup important information on external HDD/USB flash card before install it.

how would i fix the hybrid graphics issue? i still have error message "pa.exe has stopped working" And i got AMD mobility radeon, and the latest beta build.

Now you need to choose PA.exe to run on AMD card.

You already have drivers installed, so you only need part where switchable graphics control explained.

What I can say: your laptop powerful enough to run this game, but there is some problem with it's configuration and you need to figure out what's wrong.

Then go here and link your Steam and Uber accounts:

Then log out and login on forums, it's should give you permissions to view alpha forums and especially this topic:

Check it and try to install/reinstall all software listed here.

Also try to download and install latest intel video drivers:

Probably game still trying to run on Intel HD for some reason and crash because of it.

Anyway I think that right now game run on slow Intel GPU. You will get much better performance if it will runned on discrete AMD videocard. So now you need to do this:

1. First you need to toggle hidden files and folders view. Check this youtube how-to:

2. Then you need to open this folder:
   C:\Users\ YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME \AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\
3. Copy all these files to desktop.
4. Make new post and attach these log files.

These log files contain information about GPU that game actually use.

Just do that when you have time, it's important for you because game will work much better on AMD videocard.

Currently you run game on slower videocard and it's should work better if you manage how to run it on AMD one.
