So it has been more than three months now since my, and with me several others's, User Created Content have been added to SMNC. Also, since then, there have been no solid updates on the status quo of payout, even though request for those have been reassured with a simple 'we are working on it', and as of lately, downright ignored.

I don't really care I haven't received my at most $10 cut. I care that we have been completely left in the dark, and our requests for elucidation have been answered with delay.

What I ask is not action, but the forementioned elucidation: are we going to get paid (and recieve our items, which I personally prefer), when are we going to get paid and exactly how fruitless current attempts at making new content being added to the game are, moreso relating to the chance of them being incorporated due to the lack of updates than chance of recieving the share.

I know you at Uber are busy and have had financial problems, but three months is a long time and I feel that we 'deserve' to know what our current stance is.

*Anyone who is not actually related to this, please refrain from posting subjective things. We know what happens if you don't.

Legal "stuff" takes a LONG time to settle.

Also if you are really looking for an answer I highly doubt a forum thread will get you a timely response, let alone one at all. Twitter is the best place to get an instant response. Actually you could tweet them a link to this thread. Then they'll be sure to see it.

To be fair goodBEan didn't seem to press enough, It seems he felt he was walking on eggshells and didn't want to disrupt the flow.

Why should you have to press someone to fulfill a contract they willingly entered into? These content creators took their time to create a product for a game they love. They never intended to make money. However, Uber just said "Hey thanks for the free stuff tools" and bailed. It doesn't matter if the content creators are owed $0.01 Uber has an obligation to fulfill. Uber literally spit right on the content creators with this move.

I'll keep saying it, great bunch of devs, shittiest business people in the world. If I hadn't met most of them in person I'd probably think way worse at this point.

Oh yeah, and any folks on the PA bandwagon, pay attention, cause the same bs will happen with that game to.

Well you see Uber are still waiting on their Lawyers and so to my knowledge, no contracts were signed yet.

Also I don't think offering free pizza will get you your answer. Even though I know "legal things" take sometime to sort if I were one of you I would nag daily for updates. Bug them every day on Twitter. Not offer free pizza and feel burdened for asking about it.

This is what happens when you invest time and effort into something that wasn't/hasn't even been finalized.

GoodBean shouldn't even have to wonder about his money or offering pizza to anyone in order to fulfill a contract they willingly entered into. Regardless of whether there is anything on paper they entered into an explicit agreement and no signatures or other contracts are needed. Any UCC folks atm could rightfully sue Uber for what their owed. Obviously not worth their time due to the dollar values we're talking about here, but no one is in the wrong except for Uber.

Yeah I have a lawyer on retainer. It doesn't take that long to write up a contract. I've had it done tons of times for my business. Believe it or not you can go to Staples or any office supply store and find pre-written versions of said contracts where you just fill in the blanks, have the parties sign, and go on your marry way. So either their lawyer sucks and they should get a new one or that's a BS line to feed to folks that don't know any better so they can keep working on PA and not feel bad about dicking people over when they should in fact feel terrible about it.

The error isn't on the creators part for engaging with the system. Once again Uber launched a system without finalizing it and looks bad. Next time, maybe get the contracts written up first. But hey that wouldn't be the Uber way of over promising and under delivering. Your logic is the same as that which blames rape victims for being raped. "Well you should have known better....."

I don't know how you can keep defending their abyssmal business decisions. I've met all the folks at Uber and they're great people and possibly great developers as well, but again terrible with business.

The lesson here is not "This is what happens when you invest time and effort into something that wasn't/hasn't even been finalized." The lesson is, don't invest any time, energy, or money into a product developed by Uber Entertainment because you will end up on the losing end.

Alright guys, the long wait is over. Eka has contacted us and is going to send our agreements over.

Not sure if I have said any nasty crap about Uber, don't think I have, but if I did, I'll pretty much take all of it back.

Honestly I wished someone told me this thread existed a month ago. For those who are not in the know: Eka did contact us about this matter and asked for our personal info so we can get things done.

To be honest, I was unsure how to handle this issue, I don't know anything about these legal matters. I could of gone to a few friends and family on advice about this, but when I thought about how I would explain it , it would of sounded like something was shady. My father is an attorney, if I would of gone to him it would of been a headache.

I thought real careful about every message and move I made. I didn't want to give off the wrong perception or cause a scene. I am not that jerk. In my best estimates I think megamilk would of made enough to buy lunch, since as of now there are a few problems. My primary concern is just getting my fixed megamilk in there and get my other good stuff in as well. Keep the game going. I want to use my spunky ma'am, its too good to go to waste. I do think that all the UCC guys and I should get what we deserve.

I honestly think I should of went with a different approach on this issue but it does look like things are getting done. I will admit I have been distracted with work and other stuff. I think in the future i will check the other sections of the uber forums.

I just want all the ucc stuff to go through so that it would encourage more stuff in the future and further on the development of everything that is SMNC.

I have always had a cautious optimist attitude. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. There is an umbrella and spare tire in the trunk of my car.

yea well the contract could include something like "we don't have to do any more after this payment" or something along the lines that says they aren't guaranteed to update. I can just imagine how annoying it would be to keep up with that, or update an old game that they've moved on from.
