Nothing is finished yet. There will be more and it'll be synced to events in the game and whatever else they might add.

Not to mention that there's the "Full Orchestral Score" thing left to go. That's something I'm really looking forwards to.

Likewise. Very keen to see what Howard can do with a full orchestra :D

I think the current soundtrack is very poor, but this is really just my personal opinion. I loved the SupCom, FA, and TA Music, to put things in perspective.

Of course, ultimately, this will be played by a real orchestra IIRC (stretch goal?) so things will sound a lot better at release, I expect.

But I honestly think dubstep would be an improvement at this point. And I don't even like Dubstep. :)

Fortunately, you can turn the music off and play your own, which is what I did after a few matches.

Yea... that'll teach Howard not give us nice things at all!

The five or six themes playing sound like they're some early, first pass stuff. It's scandalous; I mean, it's like Planetary Annihilation is in Alpha or something, amiright?

    Careful on your comments Nanolathe.
Thygrrr just exprimed his point of view regarding the current soundtrack, like you did about the terrain in this post.

You don't like the current realistic terrain, he don't like the current soundtrack.

You're prompt to post sarcastic comments about other's people tastes, but be careful to not fall in the same case.

Considering the rather evasive posts of the top Devs I'm doubtful that swirls are going to happen. However I'm pretty sure that the soundtrack is pretty raw considering we've already heard more "complete" tracks on the livestream.

    But, fair enough. We'll see.

I must say, that the music is very good.
Regardless of the alpha stage of the game, you can hear, the composing-skill and quality that Howard is giving to the game.

You can like other music-genres more - thats really ok!
But please dont say, the soundtrack is bad - its not!

    Just my 2 cents

Music, like all art, is extremely subjective. There will always be people who dislike it, much as there were some who probably didn't like the Total Annihilation soundtrack.

Personally I love the direction Howard has taken the music for this game and can't wait for more.

    Freudian slip there?

Actually, I like short sounds for unit selection, ect. I hate it when there's a long piece of dialog every time you move a unit. I usually tell my computer to shut the hell up. Which can be confusing for other people in the room.

usually, the long dialog is to cover the gap it takes for the server to respond (mainly in the older games, in RA2 it took like 5 seconds to the unit to move, and the littel jokes made it suffer-able, oh and guess what, SWIRLS (*might) HAPPEN! it was in neutrino "TO-DO" list, so at least it is being considered.
