So i recently bought the game and from the get go im hitting around 3 - 5 fps dropping lower as the game goes on, is this normal i hae a fairly decent 900 quid laptop 690m gt with quad core, just wondering if this is due to the optimization and if it is normal at the moment thanks guys
This is basically pretty normal for Alpha software. There have only been some basic optimizations at this point. Keep the resolution low (aka don't make the game take up the full screen) and drop the graphics quality. It'll get better in time.
Also keep in mind that the biggest current bottleneck is simply in network bandwidth, so sometime the "lag" or stuttering you can see(in particular late game) is due to the networking limits, the guys at Uber have already commented that it's known and that there are plenty of optimizations they plan to do in the future. Some times starting an ai game first, then jumping online may help. Ive also heard restarting the game after match can help. Bottom line turn all game settings to min, and hope the god of the internet is looking in your direction It's a cool game when u get there.
Also it may help to have a gaming desktop With a decent overclock and plenty of ram. You may not need it to run the game but in the long run its the only way to go for super scale RTS.
