I've noticed that it has been 8 days since the last build came out. It was a pretty big update, what with the metals spots now being a big game changer from previous alpha builds. With the recent lack of new builds could we expect to see an important update in the next build *cough*...planetary travel system...*cough* or am I just crazy and not used to not having a new build to play with every other day?
It was the build just before the long weekend in the US (4th of July fun) so I kinda expect there is going to be a build somewhere this week, hopefully. Yea they kinda been hinting towards that, so hope its upcoming build, or any build this week... But it could be we would have to wait another week, I suppose it all comes down to how smooth development progress goes.
The dev environment is up to build 50509*, so it looks like we can expect a lot of changes in the next release. Garat's tweets have hinted at orbital units being in the game now. * Before anyone asks, it's not actually accessible.

Interesting. Although as with all early software development "working" can often be quite a loose term.

I think I'm going to pop! Hopefully more performance improvements too as many still needed! All well and good adding new features to keep us going but performance isn't great.
They might do small thing here and there for performance, but most of that will be seen during beta most likely. They need to get the game really stable across all platforms first, which is no easy task.
It's up to 50570 now. There's a switch to launch the PA executable with that connects to the dev environment instead of the normal one. It wont accept regular logins, so you can't play on it, but the game will alert you to a new build being available. You have to launch PA directly when doing this, it doesn't work for the uber launcher (so the files for that build can't be downloaded).
