Purchased alpha on steam - game won't launch

Hi,

I just bought the alpha version on steam, but when it tries to download, it does so in less than 1 second - seems unlikely! It of course then fails to load saying it can't find the executable. What am I missing? Was I not supposed to buy it on steam?

I am using a mac on osx 10.7.4.

Seems like there is some problem with Steam and PA updates which come very often.
Only you can do is:

• Click on the game in the library and select Properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
• Try to restart Steam.

And then download game directly here:
http://uberent.com/launcher/padownloads
There is just *.dmg which doesn't support auto-updates, but it will run.

Thanks for the reply. Managed to get accounts linked and downloaded. Does not want to work on steam though.

Try to log out on forums and login again, it's should give you permissions to view this forum.

At this stage of development there is no working AI opponents but you can start a game by yourself to test and play without the worry of other players coming after you. Though you can only play through UberNet atm.

As for not having access to that forum section try logging out than back in. If not PM garat .

Yes, but you can go to "Ubernet Games", create own game and run it with dummy AI. AI currently doesn't do anything, but you will be allowed to play game as on sandbox mode: check what controls here, what units and blow up AIs commander!

Is it true that Sorian is a member of Uber? I loved his AIs in SCFA. What's taking him so long to create a rudimentary AI for PA, LOL?

It is true. In fact a week or so ago Sorian did a live stream of some PA matches with the community.

Thanks all - logging out and in again fixed forum access. Managed to get a game running to play with. Looks my macbook air is struggling a bit though. ( jerky etc). Time to go fix my windows machine.

He isn't only doing AI for PA, but many other things. And many of them more important than AI.

You also need to know that neural networks isn't simple to build and it's really hard to create neural networks fast, even "rudimentary" one, but it's give lot of advances on long run.

Understood. I was just kidding about the "what's taking him so long" but serious when I say Sorian is great with building AIs. I really do love his SCFA AIs and am looking forward to matching wits one day with his PA AIs.
