Part of alpha is finding issues like this and looking for solutions. However it's the weekend now and no one is in the office. Hopefully someone can look into it and figure out the cause soon. I can't guarantee any kind of time frame as there has been a couple of people unable to run the game for reasons we have not been able to figure out yet.
More like the frustration of tens, maybe hundreds of people with unrealistic expectations nagging the hell out of you. The Guys at Uber(there are only so many of them and they can only work so many hours in a week after all) are doing what they can, and if nothing they've already suggested to others helps you, it means you have a new/unique problem. Bumping the thread 3 times within 24hrs is ridiculously insistent. To be frank, issues that effect small portions of the overall community aren't as important compared to other issues that effect larger portions, it's not that they don't want to help you, but who knows, maybe as they're fixing the problems the other 99% are having your issue might get fixed as a side effect, or new symptoms will appear that help the problem get identified. Such is the nature of a true Alpha. Mike
Sorry to be tagging along someone elses conversation but i feel like my problem is similar somewhat. It wont even start to open the game for me. Does absolutely nothing.
Hello i have been having the same Issue with "Pa.exe has stopped working." Also i have updated all drivers and Direct X is up to date as well. Any Help would be wonderful!
Couple suggestions (your drivers look pretty good): - Make sure PA is using the ATI drivers, and not the i7 integrated graphics (you should be able to tell pa.exe to use your ATI card in the control panel) - Try disabling any anti-virus software - Make sure you've installed direct X. Normally it throws helpful errors, but sometimes, you'll just get a crash, with no helpful message. If you can, when you launch, you can also post your log from: Drive:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log
ATI Radeon HD 3xxx and 4xxx don't work in the latest patch. http://pa.lennardf1989.com/Tracker/index.php?do=details&task_id=2638&order=history&sort=desc
