Hi all. Big problem, quick explanation- I go into quickmatch, and the screen goes to space, with stars, and it says Alpha v.49789 on top....And nothing. It won't respond to buttons, comma, enter, f11, anything. It just sits there, giving me a stupid space screen. My computer doesn't freeze, just nothing happens. I'm using Windows 8, if that matters. I'd really like to get a chance to play....
Please post your specs besides operating systems if you've got an nvidia card I know how to fix it if not others will help you
Hi 3181987, Have any of the other builds worked on your computer or is this the first build you've tried to play? Some simple house keeping stuff you can do is to make sure all of your drivers are up to date. This includes both graphics and Sound drivers. If you can also post your dxdiag that will help the Devs and those smarter than me help you further. Cheers, -Todd
Thanks for the response. My comp is a Sony Vaio T Series Notebook, Core i7, 8 GB RAM, 64 bit, Graphics is Intel HD graphics 4000 (I know it sounds crappy, but I play starcraft II with it....god I hope that isn't a really stupid statement) And to the other question, this is the only build I've tried.
I've double checked my drivers, all appear up to date. How do I post my dxdiag? (I'm no pro, I just really love RTS games....)
No worries not gonna judge but you said you had an nvidia so you'll have two videocards goto the nvidia control panel in the bit on the bottom right with the arrow and bring up the control settings for it and set it to main if it wasn't through steam i'd tell you to right click and select it as your preferred choice.....
Wait, what? I didn't say I had an nvidia. someone above asked if I had an Nvidia. There is also no nvidia control panel on the bottom right, because...ya know....I don't have an nvidia. But thanks for taking the time to respond. Assuming I don't have an Nvidia card, any other suggestions? It's not through steam, btw. EDIT: OH. You meant to say that I should post my specs only if I had an Nvidia. Okay, sorry about that. Either way, I assume posting my specs will be helpful to others. Sorry for the snark.
