    Hello

I know the game is in the Alpha stage but all these 'improvement' haven't improved my FPS at all. My FPS is always stuck on max 15 FPS but when I change to UBER it goes from 12 to 15 FPS but its really laggy. There were one of the patches that made my FPS get higher but after that patch my FPS has gone down to 15 again. I'm suspecting that it's the optimization between the games graphic and the Nvidia drivers. Anyone else got a clue?

My computer specs are GTX 560 Ti OC, 8GB of ram and FX-6300 3,5GHz processor.

i think many people have problems with low FPS. i for example have AMD and i have the same FPS as you.

Radeon HD 6950 twin frozr, 8GB Ram, AMD phenom 1055T 2.8 GHz x6 core

The Issues above are most likely due to lack of optimization in the Alpha build, I have currently been playing every build on a Q9450 + Evga 570

There are quite a lot of issues on older pc hardware, i have noticed again this is most likely due to lack of optimization.

You can see the issues below

1- Scrolling stutters on Core 2 Series Hardware.
2- Zooming Stutters on Core 2 series & Entry level i3's
3- Corrupt graphics at times with nvidia cards (lastest drivers)
4- UI Glitches if you try to build during a sutter moment.
    5- Nukes make the game unplayable ^^;

    - Remember all of this will probably be fixed near or around beta. you can also file tickets / search for open tickets about the following issues.

Just one question because im trying to figure this out with the Guys running the titans and other cards. What Driver are you using. I have absolutely no problems with 314.22. Im running a Phenom II X6 1055T @3.68GHz and 8GB of memory with a EVGA GTX580 @850MHz Core.

Would you be opposed to trying 314.22 on your 560 and see if it works any better? I havent tried 320.18 as of yet for performance.

I had exactly the same issue and had to downgrade to 310.90 which solved it.
    314 didn't work either.

Hold on, you're running Uber mode? That's not really made for 560's....

What frame rate do you get on medium or high?

Plus, I recommend you create a baseline performance test on the default window size of 1280x720 at each of the detail settings first, then try others.

I usually get 60+ fps with 1280x720, 50+ at 1920x1080, and then it varies widely on custom sizes, even as slow as 5 fps.

    System specs:
    i7 980X Extreme cpu
Geforce GTX 580 gpu (1.5 GiB)
    24 GiB ram
    Kubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS 64-bit
    Linux kernel 3.2.0-43-generic
    Xorg 11, version 1.11.3
    Nvidia driver version 319.17
    OpenGL version 4.3.0

People using spin drives, that is a definite bottle neck trust me. If your not good at configs then ssd is the way as the extra speed balances out the poorly managed operating system. The best way is two ssds.

I doubt that PA profits much from an SSD. It's only 500mb or so big and there are only few files to load since a lot is procedural.

Then you are very lucky to have lots of wealthy friends!

SSDs are still incredibly expensive per GB. Whereas you can get a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black for about 50 quid, but you only get 64GB of SSD for the same price.

It doesn't matter if I change from UBER to low or medium, my FPS does't change a single bit so I got 15 FPS all the time

I got a lot better FPS with 314.22 but as soon as my commander started building it dropped to 15 FPS and lower

Try the 310.90 drivers and see if that fixes the problem, it did for me.

    Continuing off my previous post

My hard drive speed is a standard 7200 rpm hard drive in raid 0.
Nvidia version Drivers I'm using is GeForce 320.18 Driver

Game settings are currently set to "Uber" the fps range is 20-30 when zoomed out on the planet and on low it's 40-50 when zoomed out.

though major difference black patches are less likely to generate on uber when zooming out really fast.
