So if humans are still around in the galaxy after a big war, seperated on planets with huge cities. Wouldnt it be cool to invade those cities and planets and enslave the humans. Word of warning: they would attack with their own units such as our modern day military units. Watch the civilians flee in terror as your 20 story tall robots destroy entire building with a single step, shoot down missiles with a laser and take on anything the puny humans can throw at them.
One of the basic premises of the game is that it takes place a gazillion years after the human race has died out. However this sounds like a really cool idea for a mod.
Reclaimable ruins sounds good to me, but active/fighting AI would give too much imbalance depending on your spawn area. Imagine spawning next to an enemy pd that kills your fabbers instantly...
Robots, killing eachother for whatever factional reasons they have and blowing up wild planets - that's ok. Robots, destroying sentient civilisations just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time - no, that's cruel. I don't want this to be in the game.
Reclaimable ruins sounds great, maybe even with a couple of dormant defence systems that will reactivate if you come too close/mine a certain amount or a certain building. Those could include Point Defence, AA, a couple of defensive Bots or maybe an alarm system/SOS, that everyone on the Planet/in the system can see. More than that would probably go overboard for the Vanilla game.
ancient cities and ruins, city planets, heritage of "creators" of the robots : yes actually alive humans or aliens: no
