Game will not play Steam

When I click play in steam nothing happens. It is a 64 bit operating system. Any ideas?

What are your specs?
Also, try going through your common files and find the executable, try running it as an administrator.

Otherwise verify cache.

It states d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer when i run from common files. Tried reinstalling to no avail.

running windows 7 64 bit
4 gig ram
intel core2 quad cpu q8200

Try reinstalling directx then.

(Not just update it, delete it and redownload it from microsoft.)

There is some strange issue with DirectX 9 on some Windows installations. You need to purge DirectX version already installed and then re-install it.

Also please run DxDiag tool, press "Save All Information" button and upload your DxDiag.txt as attachment on forums.

I am having the same issue. Tried clicking the link above but it says i don't have access to those forums.

Account's is automatically linked.
He is probably can't link it because game not working.

reinstalled direct x as well as reinstalled all the latest drivers. as mentioned in the post above. still i click and nothing.

Please try to run PA.exe directly and then post here what error you get, or post screenshot with error.

Linked my account to steam but still can't access the link. I replaced the d3dx9_43.dll file in my system 32 folder now i am getting a 0xc000007b error.

Please consider to upload your DxDiag.

You might fix your problem if you run "regsvr32 d3dx9_43.dll" in cmd.

PS: This DirectX issue isn't related to game really, it's Windows issue.

I was thinking this.

I ran the line in cmd and it said that the dll i had wasn't supported by my os. I have win 7 64bit

Yep if you check google/youtube you will see there is many people with this problem with many games. For me I just make clean installation of Windows 7 SP1, install drivers from AMD website and game just works.

But other people who have same problem removed DirectX 9 completely and then installed it without web-installer. It's works for them.

If you post your log file I and developers might see if there something wrong with your system configurations

I have the exact same problem and didnt got an answer yet...should i upload my dxdiag too?I mean i have this game for 5 days and i still have not played it...

DxDiag just give more information about your system, so developers might track what's system configuration's meet this issue most.

But it's not an game or developers fault. It's Windows problem which actual for many other games.
