I did a little redesign of the T1 p-gen, as the look of the current one just kind of bugs me. It looks too much like a storage facility or supply depot or something, though maybe that's just me.
Anyway, I tried to come up with a version that looked a bit more potent and power-generator-ish.

Let me know what you think.

(I also find it looks like a steaming mug of coffee, which, given its role as the source of energy for your armies, makes a whimsical sort of sense.)

Might try my hand at modeling that when I get home.

I'll be completely sold if it has movey bits.

Unfortunately I intentionally avoided adding movey bits, sorry.
But that glowey bit around the center flickers a little! That's cool, right :D ?

Looks really good. If it doesn't get put into the official game, just pass on the concept to a modder.

    Nice art.
Even if devs won't redesign generators completely, they should totally add smoky pipe, like on yours.

You could make the radial protrusion thingies into pistons.
That's honestly what I thought they were.

For legal reasons, Uber probably won't use the design (although I'd be totally for it, of course), but any modder who wants to mod it in can knock themselves out.

Those are a design element I drew from the factories. I noticed that each factory has an assortment of drum-like objects protruding from them, some black and some green, and figured one type must represent mass input and the other metal input. It seemed reasonable for the resource structures to each possess the corresponding device, as they may be whatever's transporting the resource from the production structure to the factory.
