Anyone else have a grayed out single player button? I just posted a bug here: http://pa.lennardf1989.com/Tracker/inde ... sk_id=1160 but wanted to make sure single player was actually playable for other people.
To play Sandbox game where the enemy just spawns with a few units around their Commander: Ubernet games> Create room> Click "Ready" before anyone joins.
Thanks guys - the site does indeed say single is available in alpha so must be an error, i'll close out the bug. Thanks again
If you're referring to the Steam page Early Access is listed as having single planet combat, launch (the retail release in December) includes single player. However, as godde mentioned, you can click on Ubernet Games, create game, then press Ready to start a game by yourself with 3 "AI" commanders. I use quotes around the AI because right now it's just the basic unit defensive attacking AI.
Steam page also lists that you can play with upwards of 10 Players... Which might be part of the reason behind Steam Community letting loose the dogs.
But we've been told that we'll only have 4 player max for the moment. One of the bug fixes from a previous patch was removing the ability to have five players in a match. Edit: To quote the steam page: "2 - 10 players (2 - 4 recommended)" "Features will come online as available."
I think it may be worth changing the steam page so that it does atleast say that the alpha doesn't have 10 players...unless there are plans to soon increase it to 10.
They'll eventually try to increase it to 40 people (if that doesn't make computers violently explode). If people are impatient... can't really help that imo.
I am meaning for the alpha though, just from what i figure increasing it to 40 people won't really work for the alpha, beta yes...alpha no
