E3 is almost over and there really isn't one PC game that I'm looking forward to that was announced at this year's expo. It seems the only good games (with the possible exception of this year's Simcity) are all fan supported kickstarter games. Anyone else hear of anything good coming from the big studios?
Yeah The Devision loooks interesting, but with the whole PS4 and Xbox One thing i fear it will not even come out for PC or with a crappy user interface like always for PC...*sigh* I know why i started backing stuff on Kickstarter or Indiegames.
I honestly like the concept of Titan Fall(Xbox1/PC) but I fear they'll slap a Win8 requirement on it. Mike
Destiny looked pretty sweet, but I only play games on a pc. Assassin's creed seemed interesting as well. And the Order did look like it might be something.
Not really looking into new games. I'm getting a new gpu  , so I won't be able to buy any. Looks like PA was my last expensive game for this year.
Nobody noticed that there is a new Mirror's Edge coming (when it's ready)? http://www.mirrorsedge.com/
Yeah this years E3 didn't really reveal any interesting PC games. On the other hand i own a 3DS and there is so much stuff incoming I don't really care for the lack of good pc games.
It might be that some of us are getting older, but i dont know. It just seems like all the new console games, is kiddy games made for hyperactive kids with the attention span of 5sec. I mean games like Deus Ex and Human revolution thats where FPS should go imo. I'm so tired of these onrails fps "linear can be good" like Halflife games and such, but the Onrails like call of duty. need 2 or more people to open door, then it goes into slow motion so you have 10 min to hit the opponent. Being stuck in walking mode and holstering gun. It would be more fun to watch paint dry. Im pretty sure there is a big video game crash coming. For me the future belongs to smaller companies, very rarely do i enjoy games from big companies, because they are dumbed down, kinda like fast food, to fit everyone needs to maximize sales. I enjoy tailored experiences that is some flavor and personality. I find my self playing and enjoying more and more games from smallers devs I dont care about graphics, if the gameplay and story isnt solid. If there is only thing PC really has an advantage, is that small developers can make their own games. no restrictions, no licenses. no nothing, make a game and sell it and earn the money do whatever you want with your game. I think it was Tim Scaefer who talked about how Microsoft wanted something like 10.000$ to release and update, its just absurd. On PC you can just release a patch whenever you want, costs you nothing. I think we need a new big convention thats about PC gaming and maybe even favor smaller indie developers or something, wouldn that be neat. I just played a small game called "Thomas was alone" thats one of the most amazing experiences i had in quite a while. such an emotional game and amazing story. and its just blocks you control and yet they arent just blocks. they are even more than that But maybe im just getting old.
I preordered these games: Total War: Rome II (very excited for this) Company of Heroes 2 (although I'm not thaaaaat pumped for it I got it because my friend had an extra copy to sell me for cheap) And I am really looking forward to: Destiny (I hope it comes to PC) Battlefront 3 (next thing you know they announce Half-Life 3) And a few games that I might get if I have the spare penny: GTA V Watch Dogs Assassin's Creed 4 Battlefield 4 Payday 2
