This is a problem!! All the idiots on STEAM are downrating PA into oblivion because they don't understand the pricing mechanism! The accusations of greed are horrible publicity, and metacritic is claiming a "release date" of Jun 13, 2013, with no indication that the game is currently in pre-alpha!

There's got to be a way you can get them to pull PA off metacritic until it's finished!

I don't believe we have any control over the Metacritic site. It's on them to decide what to do with that page.

I second this,
In the mean time, folks should all be going in and voting their 10 to outpace the waves of mindless fools that arent doing their research.
Some people are even saying "they are trying to do this as if its kickstarter" not even knowing that it WAS on kickstarter.
Funny part all the actual important review companies know damn well whats going on.

OMG this can't be for real?! REMOVE IT ASAP. Ofc you have control, you own the rights to your own game, sue metacritic. I hate that site anyway, remember i few years when HL2 went down by about a 5 point average because the user comment "trolls" thought it would be funny? Ugh, for shame.

The difference is Warz was not openly an alpha or beta. It also featured numerous immorals, such as attempting credit card fraud if you asked for a refund.

Yeah, WarZ was actually Fraudulent in what it was trying to accomplish, where-as Uber is being honest and people are freaking out because they don't understand the reasoning.

People that downvote PA on that site are not the niche RTS player that really have an interest in this game.

I have absolutely no fear that the score on that site will negatively influence PA.
The game will speak for itself and if it is any good, rts players will want to play it.

The community that we already have here on the forum is impressive.
I have seen so many nicknames from supcom/FA that were a great contribution to those communities I can only conclude we will have a blast playing PA.

Expecting the mainstream gamers understanding the depth of the game might be a bit to much to ask for.
Afterall, they might not even have heard about TA ...

Does it matter at this point? Since the price is prohibitively expensive for all but the most interested and dedicated, this won't impact sales much if at all. If you're knowingly buying an Alpha build, you know it is buggy and that there is no point in rating it. If you saw the scores and said "not buying that!" well, you wouldn't have anyway considering the price. When the game is released, vastly more people will rate it based on what they actually think. The media will do the same. The present round of kneejerk slander is probably not going to matter much. Maybe PA will get an 85 instead of an 86 thanks to their crazed efforts.

Guys, I know it sounds crazy, but what if you just ignore Metacritic? It's a beast that needs to die, and giving them your ad revenue doesn't help.
