Early Access, game wont start properly

Good Evening,
This is my first post so please feel free to correct me on etiquette.

I launch PA from steam and when I hit accept, it says Connecting to Ubernet, but just seems to time out, and all I get is a black screen and the Ambient music. I cannot affect the application any more than that. It is not fullscreen, it is windowed.

I am running Windows 8 64 Bit with a Radeon 7870, 6 Gigs of Ram, AMD Phenom Dual core 3.71.

Also, usually this is a driver issue, so they're up to date I guess? And finally, you should have access to the alpha forums now I think? which would be the appropriate place to post bugs.

Steam assures me my drivers are up to date, and that has always been reliable in the past.

Also, the only url I was given for bugs was https://forums.uberent.com (but it is actually http). I did not see a section for Alpha.

Im using AMD Catalyst 13.4 and don't have any problems, maybe you should try that one

Thank you insany, that got me to the next step. I will never trust Steam again to tell me whether or not my drivers are up to date.
