Please run DxDiag, use "Save All Information" button and then upload your DxDiag here.

Do you have latest drivers installed? I doubt alpha or beta can have good performance on this card. 9600GT was released in start of 2008, it's time to buy new GPU.

Seems like you use outdated driver:
    Please update to latest version:
    http://www.nvidia.ru/object/win8-win7-w ... er-ru.html

And then report here does it's help you or not.

    I have the same problem.

    Graphics driver update doesn't help.
Run as Admin doesn't help either.
Compatability modes wouldn't help, but i haven't tried that either.

I think the problem lies with the launcher or the game itself, because everytime i "verify files" the launcher download 2 files which are the exact same size every time.
This may mean that those files are broken in some way, or are downloaded incomplete.
I have so far found no way to find out which files are (apparently) the problem.

    Also, here's my dxdiag doc.

In that case I would trying totally blowing out the launcher and everything it has downloaded and try re-installing PA from scratch. Its possible some part of the install is corrupt.

I verified the files again just now. The game now works.
They seem to have fixed the problem.

ye that help, it loads the game up fine and everything works. just a shame that it's soo lagged out but that's down to my GPU not being able to handle the information.

Did you tried to completely remove game and launcher and re-download them again?

Also please report it on bug tracker. There is example of correct report:
    http://pa.lennardf1989.com/Tracker/inde ... ask_id=160
Also please crash game one more time and attach latest crashdump you might find in this directory:
    C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp

It's really hard to track your issue on forums.

I had the same error and was able to fix it by updating my Microsoft DirectX.

That's interesting since PA uses OpenGL and not DirectX.

Unfortunately some of the libs we use have dx dependencies. We don't like to it but other stuff does. Kinda sucks.

Coherent UI need d3dx9_43.dll for some reason, you might check it by Dependency Walker tool.

You send me PM, but I answer here because everyone else should also got access to solutions.

Did you replace YOUR_USERNAME with your actual username in Windows? Or you don't see crash dump itself?
Also you probably need to make all technical directories visible:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... dden-files

Name of crash dump should be like that:
    24cf1e61-a3fd-4ab6-ace9-e4a88e10ca38.dmp
Are you sure they aren't here?

If you really not see dump you need to enable advanced dumps manually following this instruction:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931673/en
Or download this archieve, unpack it and import (with double click) registry file:

When you import that file try to run game again, and after you might find dmp file here:
    C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\CrashDumps
File name is like that PA.exe.4196.dmp and for me it's size 8MB.

Your crash problem is have nothing to do with SSD.

Most of reason that cause crash listed here:
    viewtopic.php?f=71&t=47593

Do you have some sound output devices attached? Do you have latest drivers for your audio card? (I checked your DxDiag and it's seems like your driver outdated).
