Well, it was a bit short but there were some things they didn't show, like some of the Smash Brothers trailers and a few other games. I'm so excited for the new SSB game, especially now that Megaman is going to become a playable character. Pikmin 3, Mario 3D Worlds and Bayonette 2 also caught my eye. also
I liked the idea of making the wii U a drawing tablet. I mean ppl are already making good drawings on a mini comment square, now they will be able to use the whole thing, I thought it was a good idea.
Oh man... can't wait for the next SSB EDIT: WII FIT TRAINER CONFIRMED CHARACTER I AM BUYING A WII U FOR THIS GAME
A part of me is like: lol thats funny. The other is yelling: wtf is this and why nintendo. Wich one should I listen to.
I didn't watch enough of the conference to get a hint on how different the 3ds and WiiU versions will be. Anyone know about that? Also I'll be the minority here cheering for Pokemon XY, dat fairy type, killing dragons with Jigglypuff heh...
black outlines on characters, maps based on the games of that console, (probably) lower framerate on 3ds.... i think that's it. i want to know more about fairy types strengths and resistances. Would be kind of lame if it's only good against dragon.
The problem with Fairy type I think is that it was a type added for no other reason than publicity. Without more info on the strengths and resistances it's hard to really say if that's correct but what is it there to do other than that? Is Dragon really that much of a balance concern? I'm not a Pokemon Master so I don't know.
That works for me, really I'd just like to see a compatible character roster and I'd be sold (though I wonder if that would make sense to have the Wii fit trainer on the 3ds.) It probably was...but like we haven't had a new type in years. It's nice to have a little game changer. There is that point about what resistances and weaknesses though, they better resist Dragon or this is 100% useless for the confirmed ones. Most of the deadly dragons can already 1 hit ko the Jigglypuff, Marrill, and maybe Gardevoir lines. Many of them are speed trained as well, tbh it still might not be enough but again, it's a nice change of pace. On the balance side of things, Dragons were...somewhat balanced, any ice move generally shut down most of them, and Dragon moves are only supereffective against fellow dragons. It really is the speed and raw power that was the bigger threat.
They will almost definitely resist Dragon. That being said, it won't be only Fairy types with Fairy moves.
Dragons generally are one of the more powerful typings, but I doubt there was much balance reasoning behind the decision.
