I noticed that TAB cycles the available commands for the selected unit. Wouldn't it serve better as a cycle through the units themselves ? And maybe ALT+TAB to cycle through buildings ? Hmm, before this is implemented it may be a good idea to have a key to focus on Current selection. Otherwise you have to peer hard to see which unit in the world you have cycled to. Bleh.. Oh well, back to killing pixels...
I have noticed a bug and am reporting it. But when chatting with other players during gameplay the hotkeys still work. So if i type C to someone while in chat it keeps selecting my commander. Same applies for keys that rotate the camera. I think group selection, so F1 through F4 for units would be cool. F1 - Construction units (select them all from anywhere and get them cranking into that building you urgently need) F2 - All Ground combat units F3 - All Air Combat units F4 - All Sea Combat units
get one of these - http://www.evoluent.com/vmouse2.html once you get used to it its awesome, comes with plenty of buttons and is very easy to use I love this mouse personally I have issues with my wrist as well but you don't have to move it with this you move your arm and don't twist your wrist - I have never had a problem (has a scrolly wheel)
And it would be great if PA was handling other keyboard layout than QWERTY and automatically change the default shortcuts (for example, moving the camera with keys is really weird with AZERTY layout). I'm quite sure there will be a way to change controls anyway.
This would be very nice. I use this in TA a lot! But it should only work for ground units cause if it selects both land and air, controlling your attack might be difficult.
I was looking at that for my dad, actually I can't use those mice due to a different shoulder injury!
I have a hard not not hitting Ctrl+Z Being able to select all units of specific type is handy, especially when managing large armies. I'm sure these will come in time though
Is there a file for editing keybinds? Maybe we could just add em till Uber officially does. It would make the game a lot easier to play IMHO
Any plans for a keys to toggle showing ranges soon? Highest priority is the radar, can't tell what is and isn't being watched.
I still hope that the current radar system is just a temporary solution until a proper system is implemented...
Another maybe stupid question and I did not read all 6 pages of comments here... but is there a key combo to rotate the view? Not just the arrow keys to move around but to actually rotate? I do this from time to time when I zoom out somehow, but I have no clue how it really works...
