Tier Techs

    In the alpha noticed there is basic units and advance units basically T1s and T2s is there going to be tech T3s? just wondering Im asking this because I know that you guys(uber) as a team have worked on games like SC, TA, etc.. which have had T3s and what fun would it be to have T3s.

    TA did not have T3 other than advanced structures, and PA won't, with good reason. T3 units alienate T2 units, and make them functionally useless. It's also a butt-ton more work for the art team, and it tends to take up more RAM.

    Uber has stated themselves that they will not be making T3, thank the gods.

    From my experience of Supcom & FA, having 3 tech levels isn't that great.
    In competitive play you skip the tech levels not used in the current balance.

    I think tech 1 / tech 2 (then straight experimental units if any) is fine.

    I prefer Supcom eco model for experimental units over FAs.
    Game ending units with ridiculous high cost.

    No T3 stuff, outside of maybe Orbital units being pseudo-T3.
