Not really sure if this matters and I wouldn't call it a bug, if you have multiple uber accounts with keys,... you can run multiple games on one PC. I tried it with my one account, and the new instance took over the other account.
I don't see anything wrong with it. Even more, I got multiseat system to play SupCom with friends, 3 people can play together on same machine (I have 3 video cards in it) and it's working much faster because there is low network overhead.
Nothing wrong at all. I can see using this and play muliplayer games trying things out later on after final release.
There is no way to stop you from doing that. Any special "anti cheat" always can be easily bypassed with using virtualization/proxy/vpn or just using second computer. And there no point to make any protection because on Linux and Mac nobody will grant administration privs for the game, and there is really easy way to hide one process from another.
