Played a bit with the alpha, loved what i saw aside from the bugs making it nearly unplayable, but hey, what are you gonna do? anyway, the only real thing i can suggest this early on that might not be planned on is that the water's edges be more clear. They're pretty clear as it is, you can obviously tell where the edge is, but as far as the style we have going on right now, it kind of clashes with the whole hard-edge solid-color thing everything else has. My suggestion would be to add white lines around the shore, similarly to wind waker, but not solid blue on top, just the white. And with this style in place, you can add waves breaking on the waters edge if you pleased. Vanilla or Mod, either way, there's my suggestion. P.S. are you man enough to program in the tide?
I agree. Needs some visual mesh with the terrain when it makes contact. This is a minor polish issue though.
