Regarding this. There are a number of modes, but because the client doesn't have all the simulation data, it's limited. However, F11 if you're runnign into a weird pathing issue can on occasion help you see what's going on.
Backspace automatically exits you from a match. Was in game pushed my press to talk on my mouse which is mapped ctrl+alt+backspace and it made me leave the match. Would it be possible to remove this while your playing a match?
Is there a keyboard shortcut to zoom? Due to wrist damage, I use a marble mouse and don't have a scroll wheel. (even if I did, they physically hurt to use!) How in Mavor's name do I zoom without the scroll wheel? Yeah, serves me right for having non-standard peripherals
I was missing a combination to add units to an existing group though. Any idea when you'll be adding it?
Pretty sure that doesn't work. At least I tried that and it didn't work. Needs to be in at some point though.
While in Flow field mode N turns on some new layer that shows how buildings/units will stand on the ground. Holding space and then try looking around using middle mouse button lets you look around without camera movement.
Thanks. I did end up trying that but I think the menus had crashed by then (I was trying every key in turn!)
And G after F11 shows some kind of Node map, T toggles grey terrain and R shows a very dense normal field (toggles through multiple levels). Numbers do funky stuff too.
Are there any button for taking and saving a screenshot? Would really help when trying to report bugs...
You can use rhe Print Screen key, Alt+ Print Screen (for just the PA window) or the snipping tool in windows 7.
Oh, alt+print screen helped a bit, solves the problem I'm having due to my multiple screen setup. So thx. But still, it takes a bit of the focus off when having to open paint and saving the picture manually when it should be pretty easy to let the client take a screenshot and saving at once. (maybe there's some obscure performance issue???) Also, I found some bugs regarding the mouse cursor, and it doesn't show up if you use print screen...
The joys of an alpha. A print screen key would be handy though. You'll need more specialised tools to capture the mouse cursor, but you can always just use paint to draw in an approximate.
Anyone know what the ChronoCam hotkeys are? I keep hitting them by accident. Took me ages to figure out what was happening!
