Commanders and their abilities

    So far we know of the four pre-order Commanders -

    Progenitor + Alpha

    We were told that each commander will eventually have different abilities/skills to allow them to work with different play-styles etc. I was wondering what abilities people guessed/want each commander to have.


    I'll start -
    By the looks of the models, I'd guess the Alpha Commander will have a jetpack (the Alpha commander drawing is is similar to the Commander from the main trailer, in which case they are possibly one and the same), Progenitor possibly has more dps or faster builder?, Theta is probably a lot tougher and/or can Hunker . Delta is the interesting one, maybe he's faster or can teleport, maybe he has stealth or increased radar/view range.

    What are your theories and ideas?

    They will not have differing abilities, considering the fact that they are all preorder bonuses and this is a multi-player foremost game

    They will have differing abilites.

    But every combination available to a "bonus commander" will be available to normal players with a different "non bonus commander".

    (Unless Neutrino changed his mind and decided to not include the commander abilites).

    Ok, so even though their abilities will be available to non-preorder Commanders, what ones do you think they'd have?

    mMm, I was hoping our Pre-order commanders would have unique roles/bonuses... but ah well, they look cool.

    I don't like the sound of this bonus malarkey, unless you can just select them all at the start and everyone gets the same list to choose from.

    I would prefer to have them as upgrades in the game tbh, if it's thinks like jet packs and dps. (which i know they have ruled out)

    It's not 'bonus' just different. All commanders have the same basic functions, but some just have different abilities. Like, you want to be a turtle, choose a commander with more guns etc.

    There are apparently going to be different non-preorder Commanders, I was just wondering what people thought would be the abilities/skills of the preorder ones.
