Rule is this;
You get three votes. Gold, Silver, Bronze. Most votes at the end get the category, gold is worth 3 points, silver 2, bronze 1.

So if someone voted
Assault; LeadLPmaster, Fightinmongoose, Purplescratchyy

And someone else voted
Assault; PurpleScratchyy, Fightinmongoose, James Meledy

The totals would be;
First place tie
Purplescratchyy (4)
Fightinmongoose (4)
Second place would get bumped due to tie
Third place
LeadLP (3)

You don't have to pick three people - you can have less. Make sense?

That's how I scored it last time and still people only voted one person which I just gave a gold and nothing else. I personally think H&S should be removed from voting plus a few others (Gunked Chollo) If you were to assemble a team of those players on classes they didn't receive votes for last time vs the winners of all the current player bests it would be a catastrophic slaughter

Edit example: Chollo didn't receive any assault votes last time I'm pretty sure, purplescratchyy seems to be the front runner favorite along with Lead for assault from playing more with the voters. No discredit to either or their performances lately in newer PMs, but Chollo is significantly better than both on assault

I stole your scoring method because I think it is pretty good.

Scratchyy is going to get fewer votes than you might think, for the same reason that Chollo got almost no votes last time; he plays for stats. I acknowledge that Chollo is really good and is nowhere near as bad about that as he was. But at the time, he would not go after the moneyball when it was down, would not finish off a kill if it meant he might die, and would flat out ignore callouts. Scratchyy is pretty much that at the moment.

Also, a lot of people find Scratchyy annoying (just like Chollo in fact). Sadly, part of doing public voting is that it becomes a popularity contest and people will just not vote for him to spite him.

Chollo also had the horrible problem of the competition that he had, which is apparently being removed for Scratchyy so it is not that fair of a comparison.

Chollo got better about all of that stuff, and should be rewarded with some recognition. I would vote for him for sure, excet that he gots votes for "most aggressive" and is ineligable (yeah, despite playing for stats, I know...contradictory... :roll: )

I got almost no votes (I think) for being aggressive as gunner, but Choiio gets votes for being aggressive as assault? And I thought the voting was already bad enough as it was...

If you look at the voting, assault had the most votes overall. As you go down the list, there are fewer and fewer votes; personally, I got tired of coming up with names towards the middle and half assed it by the time I made it to support. I think a lot of people did the same. I have no idea how Yan beat you on aggression for gunner :shock:

I enjoy making fun of chollo as much as the next person, but there is no comparison here. Chollo is one of the best players in the game and an early pick in every lobby. He has playmaking skill and a viable slayer that keeps up with the best of them on several classes including assault and gunner. He can play for stats when he's clowning around, but damn good when he's trying.

Purplescratchyy only does good vs bad players or with good players on his team. He is not on level footing to put on a team with all decent players , a good gunner, and his assault vs lets say 4 decent players, gunked's gunner and frank fotaine's assault.

Purple oddly enough is one of the few bright spots with potential out of the new wave of players, I say potential because I also know he's very young which attributes to his trolling and annoying nature. He isn't terrible, certainly a force in these recent PMs with no vets around. But he's nowhere near someone like chollo

LOL. Seriously tho Yan's one of the most aggressive players ever in this game. As his lane partner wildman can tell you about Yan's aggressiveness in GoME haha

I wasn't comparing skill, just how they tended to play. At this point Chollo also has WAY more time in, and quite simply has better aim than Scratchyy. Frank is a better assault than PS. So is Lead. So is Major Batau. So is zMrTryHard. Chollo is better than all of them. At least, in my opinion. Of course, we are comparing a 13 y-o kid who is buzzer level to jackbots, many of whom are adults. That is a pretty good comparison to make for him...

But yeah, a lot of the recognition for him is because he has played a lot only in the recent PM's.

I'm sure I'm overlooking people but I can't really remember any other names that stood out on specific classes.

I give props to Ground and Satta for giving gunner a shot in PM's. Glad to see more clawing gunners.

I know Frank and LP have been around as well as Gem and Headcase, but nobody has taken the throne for those classes or is really close at the moment.

Probably too late for my opinion to be relevent but would it make sense to incorporate team work and/or leadership skills into eligibility to get votes?

A new ubies to give recognition to everyone who plays just... wasn't the best idea. The last time around made good sense because it had been awhile and there was significant change in popular opinion from the GP era to that point, as well as many new very good players who emerged over the span of that year-year & a half.

We know where it stands now, the thing I took a shot with me teams from scratch, we will see where it takes us. Otherwise we can just hope for good PMs when alot of good people are on and make the most fun we can when the room isn't loaded. Unless someone specifically asks me to, I just don't see the point in getting pissed at players who I know for a fact are not good at certain classes, get stuck on those classes, and then play poorly. I also don't see the point in getting upset with people who seek help on improving and do their best to improve and if they have a bad game get bltched out. These players are just different, and I mean if that's what makes it fun then fine.
