I think we really need a video like this, just to reaffirm what to expect in the alpha.

That video was hilarious, and your exactly right. Most people do not understand that being alpha tester is like being apart of an open source project, a lot of things don't work.

+1 for a video like this. Nothing illustrates the nature of an alpha as well as advertising the sheer amount of bugs and weird unfinished things.

Something like this to release along side the alpha would be quite helpful (particularly if people are jumping in on Steam early access and haven't been privy to all of the released information thus far).

On an unrelated note, Introversion made some awesome games. Loved Darwinia and Defcon and I was gutted when I heard that Subversion had been abandoned :c

Subversion was abandoned? After they spent 6 ******* years working on the generation algorithm? Damn.

On-topic now, this would be something nice for super-early-alpha players to make. I have an idea, once you get in the game, do something stupid and break the game, and post the replay. We can compile an "alpha features" video form that.

YEP. Only found that out the other week. I was pretty gutted, especially after seeing those tech demos in a previous humble bundle.

Nice idea. I wonder how much footage Uber have of their own gameplay.

Oh yes, that was a hilarious video .

The only moment from Uber livestreams like that was Sorian's jedi mind trick "That's not the bug you're looking for" when a commander appeared on the other side of the planet .

Can't wait to play PA alpha and experience some awesome game breaking bugs!

True, but that could wind up being the same thing if it is never picked up again. In any case it is no longer in active development and I find that sad. I was hopeful for something akin to Frozen Synapse with a broader perspective (ie more to do with the planning and also non combative action than FS's focus on combat oriented squad management within an event)
