Xbox One looks absolutely horrible. Even forgetting that PC exists, there isn't a single reason I can think of to buy an Xbox One. PS4 wins the casual core gamers, WiiU wins casual family gamers (when the Wii is eventually phased out), PC wins true core gamers, Xbox One loses everything except Xfanbois.

    >Wanna know why they call it the Xbox One?
    >Because you take ONE look at the price tag and walk away!

Mmm mmm mmm~ Steven Spielberg must of cost a fortune in getting him on the Xbox One reveal presentation.

Well if you think about it a cablebox/dvr here where I live cost about $150-$300 and that doesn't include my monthly internet/cable bill. Since the XBox One is going to replace that that price almost seems fair. So if it'll be between 500-600 it seems reasonable if you factor in it replacing your cablebox/dvr. The XBox One is the new family console. I can even picture multiple XBox One's in a household. Like in my house I have two cableboxes/dvrs.

I bet if you looked at your bill there would be a rental fee you are paying for the cablebox.

either way, I'm paying a monthly fee for cable. definitely not $100-300 for a box i can only use with that provider.

anyway, as soon as Google gets their *** in gear with that thing they started in Kansas everything will be fine (i want)

btw, by no means am I sticking up for cable/internet providers (in my case, Charter). They gouge.

Before we all start saying that the Xbox Durango is the biggest P.O.S. in history, I think we should clam down a bit. We should wait until E3 to see what the thing is capable of. Then we can start drawing conclusions.

E3 is the only thing I really watch and chances are that Sony will be showing it's peen, too.

Last year Watchdogs and The Last of Us had me chubbin', this year should be good with new consoles on the horizon.

Cable boxes typically come free with a contract, just like basic cell phones.

Knowing online play isn't even free on Xbox 360, gotta wonder how much they'll charge for the TV service...

EDIT: unless the console is just going to replace the box and you still pay for the cable service?

You do know contracts like that end up having you pay more for the phone/box then if you just bought it outright?

That would make the most sense. Though makes me wonder if the cable companies won't include the networks that are included already on the Xbl Marketplace.
