Win8 x64 on my main gaming rig
Mint 14 x64 (Mate desktop) on my mini-PC

As has been mentioned on a couple of threads related to OSs, I also cannot see the point of running a 32-bit OS on 64-bit hardware; 99% of everything works fine on 64-bit now. However since I work in corporate support, I'm also well aware how many people still do run 32-bit, and the various reasons why.

I would heartily recommend anyone on an older 32-bit OS upgrading; if it needs to be Windows, then both Win7 and Win8 64-bit variants are stable and user friendly (even if they might look different at first, they are still very similar under the hood). If it does not need to be Windows, then give Linux a try; most distro's are also stable and user friendly too, e.g. Mint or Ubuntu should be quite accessible even to people more familiar with Windows. They are also more cost effective, if that is a consideration, and can be set up to dual boot with your existing OS if you have the inclination and the spare hard disk space.

Note that both Mint and Ubuntu have a "Live CD/DVD" download, where you can burn the .iso to a DVD disk and boot from it to try them out. This does not require any installing so your machine will be unaffected if you do decide you don't like it. Try before you buy, if you will ;)

Soon to be a proud owner of a dual boot Vista 32-bit/Linux Mint 13 64 bit system. ;-)

p.s. proud is in reference to Linux, not Vista... :p

I've got both that I'd consider running PA on, but my primary gaming PC is 64bit.

I've got a Win 7 32bit system myself. Been considering upgrading and moving to 64 because of Minecraft, actually :) .

I have Windows XP 32 bit, Windows Server 2003 R2 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, and Server 2008 R2 64 bit, and Windows 98. The Server 2003 and 2008 are on the same machine and are the only one I would expect to have a chance of running PA.

I have a 64bit Vista as my main machine & a copy of Win 8 x64 waiting to be installed. (waiting for a patch or two before I commit)

And a netbook with Win7 Starter, which is 32 bit. Can't do anything about that one. I don't need to buy and install a x64 bit system on it, it would be a waste of resources for a simple mobile document editor/ lite gaming machine.

All the new PCs at my job (CAD machines) are x64, just a few XP 32 bit systems laying around.
