Hi guys first post but I have been lurking for awhile now . I'm looking for someone in Alpha willing to help me with a Let's play and E commentary of PA in its Alpha Phase onward. Preferably someone with a sexy voice, talkative, funny and knowledge of video editing etc. Also I'm looking for skilled players to help me out with this too, with game play etc as I haven't played hardcore since TA. PM me or something like that so we can get in touch. Also this will only be a go ahead based on the NDA and even then could just be restricted to backers... Anyways doesn't hurt to try

Wow thats one way to be interpreted the completely wrong way. Hmmmm well for a bit more info about me, Im a cosmic backer, I have played a lot of TA, Sup Com, so that will be fine for a lets play but I have a different idea of what I want to do with it. The commentary side is something else all together as I am just trying to get in touch with some more seasoned players to be in on there games because I don't now how spectating will go as far as alpha. As far as knowledge towards what Im doing... I stream DotA 2, I've done enough video editing to know how to do it. I'm a graphic designer by profession so I can do artworks for that side of it. I would just like a PIC to do them with. As I am from NZ, it would be cool to have someone from elsewhere to do them with to spice it up a bit.
Hey demonpanda, I'm also quite interested in this; I've been planning to do some replay commentary and that sort of thing as soon as Uber gives us the go-ahead to. I'm a galactic backer, and have a fair amount of video editing experience. I don't know about a sexy voice, but I do have a very good microphone and set-up for podcasts, so that might help out. Anyway, shoot me a pm if you're interested in pursuing it further
It is a great concern that you're demanding a 5 man team out of a one man project. You lose creative control, you have to deal with other people's schedules and egos, and there's going to be conflict simply because you're cramming too many people into a small work space with little to do. All you NEED for a Let's Play is a microphone, a recorder, and a willingness to play. If you do not have those things, then it is time to stop while you're ahead.
A LP of an RTS game in Alpha stage that doesn't have a regular single player mode is close to impossible. :mrgreen: I will be doing videos, sort of like public Alpha testing. I'm still not sure will I be able to put all types of testing in a video format but we'll see. Once the Beta is out then you can consider having a series over Galactic War
A 5 man team? Not really. I realise your talking about the lets play, I can do that by myself of course, which I am going to. My idea is that I will have like an ongoing lets play, to see the progress over time that Uber will slowly make. Its more like a series you could say. What I'm trying to do is get set up for when the when galactic war finally hits. Also Competitive play. The idea is to have a big rev up from alpha to release to get Uber more exposure for this game. But I want to do this not by myself but with maybe 2-3 other people who would like to help out from time to time with setting up gameplay scenarios and commentaries. This was a post asking for willing helpers and people who are interested. Not people who are wanting to shoot down my ideas, pick a fight elsewhere Yes there are holes in my ideas, but this hasnt been developed yet, I will deal with the issues as they become issues, because right now they are not.
I do plan on running events once the game gets going in Beta that could use help from contributors like yourself. I have the advantage of high community visibility I'm going to try to leverage.
I'm interested to do something like this (I've done some radio presenting in the past) but as you're in NZ and I'm in the UK working a 9-5 I think timezones might cause a few issues That said, happy to help if I can. Also with yours, if required, Polynomial.
It shouldn't be too much of a problem. It would just involve me being up quite late at night. which is all OK for me. My boss lives in the UK so I have to do that on a regular basis anyway haha.
