    Hi
is there any information about the construction chains in the game?
Is there a chance that they are going to be like the ones in Supreme Commander?
Please give me some information =)

    Hi Mike
do you know the Supreme Commander build system?
    It is just the best!
Nothing to say there. There is no other game which does it in such a perfect way!
I hope uber can manage to get there with Planetary Anihilation

Honestly I hope that build queues will be even better. Build queues in supcom had their issues. For example, if set to assist, having two of one unit, and one of another in the queue would not in fact result in a two to one ratio of units.

knight knows the supcom build system. He was a relatively active community member back then.

There is still room for a pimp of the construction queue.

Yeah I know. I just logged back on the boards for fun and I had around 3.5k posts there. Rereading the thread that inspired the no rush mode for custom games, very funny thread.

Mike? Mike has absolutely no clue about Supreme Commander. ;)

Now seriously, that post made my day.

Knight's (rather large) forum signature may be something of an indication that he is at least somewhat familiar with FA.

You think that's large? It's only 444x150, on the GPG Forums its 650x220! ;p

Compared to some Sigs I've seen here, it's downright small ;p

Yes. Command queuing is important. Of course it will be in the game.

Please don't expect a SupCom clone though. This is a different game.

Gonna ask if it's just because of the early state of the build or what, but you are going to have faint 'wireframe' buildings of stuff you've queued up even though you don't hold down the queue command button (shift in supcom) right?

I don't know if the system was in TA, but in SupCom if selected a building to build, clicked, held and dragged it would create a line of that unit. I don't know if the rest of you liked it, but I think that a return of that system would be nice. Would be very handy with dragon's teeth and extraordinarily organized base building. :D

I can't imagine something like that would be left out. A lot of these kind of oddities with TA I think is simply because it was an early RTS.

And somewhat unrelated, I hope for proper walls to make a return as well as dragons teeth/tank traps.

I'm not sure how frustrating it is for you, you're obviously working with much smaller budget while the much of the crowd is hoping for SupCom, but bigger and better...
I hope you're handling that all ok :)

I think a lot of us of pitched into the Kickstarter hoping for a SupCom sequel of sorts.
Personally, I think you've convinced me that you're building the foundations for a much better game from the ground up. I'm not sold on all things yet, but I am highly optimistic for all things.

In terms of GUI, bobody needs a clone if what we get is smarter.
To me, GUI is a big part of what made SupCom great.
The GUI for SupCom wasn't that hard to figure out, it was somewhat intuitive yet still pretty powerful.
You've got some big shoes to fill there ;)

But Like I said, very, very optimistic your team will get the job done
