The gemini looks like a Bulldog or a Pillar.

The autocannon looks like a T3 PD from FA.

The truck looks like a Slasher.

Also, the heaviest tank is named Goliath.

Obviously its not a rip, but there are some strong similarities if you ask me.

AirMech is a lot of fun. People should check it out if they haven't already.

Hello! Lead dev on AirMech here. I absolutely loved TA, I count it as one of my main influences for AirMech. In fact here's a good list:

    - Herzog Zwei
    - Total Annihilation
    - Red Alert 2
    - Advance Wars
    - WH40K (miniatures painting style)
    - TF2
    - Dota

You can see I directly stole a bunch of unit names too--Bertha and Goliath in particular. I'm a huge fan of Uber, and was SO excited to hear about them doing PA. In fact I hope they let us have some crossover units for some kind of a launch event. :)

Now that was pretty awesome to read/find out. Shoot and I thought this thread was kind of lame. Turned out to be a lot better then it started. :D

    Thanks Carbon :)

    WH40K (miniatures painting style)

I love the bright colors you are using. I really think some of the best 40K painting was in the 90s when color was more fully embraced. A lot of the darker painting heavy metal does is actually some of these easiest. Using color effectively is really great.

The robots transforming is definitely Transformer/Macros-ish. I am kinda hoping we get some transforming flying bots in PA, but that's up to the Uber team.

I had pretty clear tie-ins to discuss. I mean how many effective double barreled tanks are in real life? but of course it's awesome and fun. I mostly brought this thread up because I like your work. Ofcourse, you posting in this thread is great.

Yes, I loved painting miniatures when I was young. Mostly I painted Eldar, but also Space Marines and Terminators (Space Hulk FTW). Compared to Starcraft2, I really like the Space Marine's style of painting the whole thing the teamcolor, both because I think it looks cool and also it helps gameplay to see clearly who owns what units.

You guys should suggest some way we could cross over with PA. I'm totally up for having content for the PA fans, I'd be more than happy to give something out for free to all PA supporters like a little planet pet with thrusters on the back from the concept video. :)

Or throw out your own ideas--that's what's cool about companies like Uber and Carbon, since we don't answer to anyone else (hint: publishers) when we decide what kind of crossover stuff we want to do.

Well since you asked so nicely... I want nothing! Just kidding.

I am not too good with ideas so I will let the bigger fans of both PA and AirMech to sell you all there. Though there is one thing... If there was a playable Tank character (from S/MNC) in AirMech I would have no choice but to put many hours into the game. :D

Given what I know about PA so far, the way I think would work best would be to swap commanders, so Uber makes(or tweaks an existing) a special Commander for AirMech and you guys make a Commander for PA. Admittedly it's been awhile since I've messed around with AirMech so that might not be as viable as I remember it! xD

:D Yeah, I like a strong sense of team connection and distinction too. GW always did a great job of providing ways to connect your forces together visually. I have always been a big fan of banners and symbolism.

An asteriod pet sounds sweet! I am still learning about how to play AirMech. I just zoomed through the tutorial a few days ago. This is the perfect kind of game to play with your friends when you are all learning. It's a lot of fun. I like how you have different difficulty levels of your tutorials to master too (like Bastion). Anyone can get the basic concepts but mastering them takes really zeroing in on them.

Definitely like the idea of an 'thruster'd' orbiting asteroid pet, would fit pretty well.

    Beyond that, maybe crossover commanders.

Friggin' love airmech btw, even though I don't play it much. I bought the beta bundle and prime to support you though! Wish I could get my friends to play with me.

I saw some videos but I haven't played yet.

I hope you Devs talk and come up with some sort of cross over.

    AirMech Commander?

Sadly, I tried playing from Perth (Western Australia) and my pings to Sydney ( Canberra?) were greater than 300. Unplayable for me :(

Too bad too, looks pretty cool.

How's about, a transforming commander that can fly? I'd totally sacrifice the Uber-Cannon for such fun!
