IMO, $1500 for a lone Jackbot is fine. Jackbots in Crossfire aren't difficult to kill at all if their escort(s) don't notice an Assassin. Or hell, a Sniper that has his grapple upgraded to level 3 can kill a Jackbot all by himself without it firing a single shot. Then, there's how easy it is to evade Jackbot attacks and how easy it is to force it into repeatedly using it's shockwave dealie instead of firing rockets...Just a counterpoint.

...And the English language just got Ted Bundy'd.

But nah, 3000 is waaay too much for a Jackbot. They're not THAT hard to kill.

In spite of being the most annoying character ever to appear in ThunderCats, this guy is correct.

I just had to mention that somehow

The idea isn't stupid but spending 1500 on a lone jackbot is just a waste of money.

Then don't do it. In the right conditions, if you are playing with a good team, it could be a very strategic push.

1500$ for an toaster that easily gets killed by an Sniper from miles away? Or maybe almost insta-killed by annihilator or two Assault bombs? NTY. Like 350-750 would be sufficent.

As an Assassin player I would practically beg the other team to spawn Jackbots. They're out $1500, I'm up $75 and a full juice bar.

I think it should be 2000 just so when you spawn one and a lone assassin kills it in 10 seconds of it being spawned you could be even more pissed off than if you spent 1500 on it :D

What if there's a dedicated Jackbot spawn button and when a player activates it, other players vote on whether or not to actually spawn it. Maybe there would be a minimum amount of votes required, it'd cost three grand and each player that voted would be required to drop some cash for it?

The process should be involved enough that it wouldn't exactly be easy or cheap to pull off, making it a rare occurrence.

I'm thinking that would just add too much complexity and no one would ever get a purchased Jackbot to spawn in random games that way because most players are too greedy and shortsighted to think that they could contribute to their team rather than themselves, or to think that a Jackbot actually needs escorts against non-retarded pros

A good team can kill a jackbot shortly after it leaves the spawn. Sniper can do tons of damage from a safe distance and an Assassin can wreck it right out of the spawn. It would have to be much cheaper.

This is off topic, but I saw HI IM SNARF in a game earlier on XBL. As I recall, he was a support and the game before that ( he was in the lobby and as was I, I wasnt in the game before that though. ) in the lobby he was talking to some kids about how he was better then all of them combined. Now, just because its a thing I love to do, I wanted to see this. Immediatly, I saw what all Support's do. Build firebases, and camp around them, or follow Gunners. I remember me being extreamly cocky and I would go through all of my power to just get him down to low hp. Anyways, OT.

I agree with Goose. Jackbots can be easily killed on the circular round map. And other maps as well. Assassins can just grapple them dealing massive damage and snipers on a map like the spunky cola arena, can just headshot them for 40 seconds straight. I would have to save to put the price down to 800. I rarely EVER get this much money in a game I am doing very well in. Usually in games that go into overtime, I would have all of my skills maxed and I would just be blowing cash on spawning pro dependant bots. With it set to 800, I would work to get that much to spawn one. And, because it left a whole in my pocket, I would then protect it or work with it. Not that I dont right now, but I would sledgehammer my team into helping me.

Sorry but Supports have one of the biggest jobs in this game and compared to some other classes, they require the most time to play correctly and efficiently.

$500 would give a more reasonable cost/benefit ratio i think. If a player really needs to spend $1500 fast chances are it's overtime, in which case the $ is better spent on juice and Jackbots spawn for free anyway.

An early game Jackbot might allow for some interesting strategies though so I do support giving players the ability to spawn them.
