Hey, I am noticing allot of modding threads popping up for Planetary Annihilation.

Would it be possible to get a sub forum for this?

    If so Thanks :)

Until the alpha, there's absolutely no point in having a modding forum. It would just become another general discussion where questions are asked and re-asked. It'd be wasting Uber's time reading what's posted in there.

At the moment, all we're doing is speculating about modding. That doesn't help anybody.

Now, when backers can actually play/test/mod... then there's a reason to have a dedicated forum. But I'm sure Uber is well aware of this, and already has a little note on a whiteboard that reads:

I was going to suggest the same thing (for when it is available), also I think there should be a sub-forum for another language (there must be a few French/ Spanish speaking gamers out there?)

    Ah ok, fair enough!

Reason why I was asking for a modding Sub Forum is that I want to have a list of tutorials and the like ready for people who want to mod to read over. :)

More or less preparing for the alpha. :)

Read from there, and on to the next page.

I think you're wasting your time preparing now. Don't get me wrong; I'm not against modding. I plan on modding the pants off PA (if SupCom is anything to go by, I'll probably invest a thousand hours into tinkering with my mods), but I don't foresee any member of the community actually being able to learn something useful - let alone being able to distill that knowledge into a tutorial - until after we get the alpha.

The core idea is that we won't have any tutorials until modders can get their hands on the Alpha, so there still is no point to a Modding SubForum until Alpha.
