It might also be skewed because of the kickstarter itself. I myself found out about Planetary Annihilation because a youtuber I was following around the time the kickstarter started got wildly excited over this. And, well, the excitement was infectious. Just to point out that the sort of hype this game has generated isn't solely because of Total Annihilation itself, but also because of, well, damn good marketing.

Also, I imagine that if this game had a more traditional producer, that producer would look at a pole like this and see a huge spike where money meets free time, and an appeal that sticks even where free time starts to fade away, and real money starts to pop up. XD

18 as well, turning 19 next month. I was 3 when Total Annhilation was released. My dad got TA near release though, and he later got me into it when I was around 11.

I'm rather surprised by how many people are in the late 20's range. I always picture people using forums and the like being in the 13 to 21 range. Pleasantly surprised.

Older people are far better at trolling properly.

EVE is just an elaborate system for teaching people how to troll properly. It also appeals to people who like to troll or are older and prefer a more methodical and jaded approach to gameplay. I think there is some sort of circular connection at work here.
