K. So uh, looking for suggestions as to what's going on here or what to do... Used to run a dedicated off my home comp without any problem at all; very strong machine and very strong connection. FOOM 1 hour brawl was a happy place. In the last two days, though, something's changed: my server doesn't show up on the list anymore. Doesn't matter if I host it directly, use the tool, or even if I just start up a game and not make it dedicated. It just flat out won't show up anymore. The logs don't look any different, either. Did something change and I missed the memo? New ports required? 1 Hour Brawls must begin again! Help?
Well glad to hear you're still around, i was worried when i could find the server. Did you validate/re-install and all that happy stuff?
I seem to have this problem too - it'll be working fine and people can connect and all, then a few hours later it has just disappeared - even I cannot access it. It seems restarting the server a few times gets it working as normal. I am having big trouble getting it to work for longer than 3-4 hours though.
Both of my servers droped off the face of the earth too. Got one to start showing up again. I think something bit the dust on the other end
Nope static Ips , server is a data center different data center for each server. They are back now , first time I had the servers crash since I put them up and I figured they where due. The have been running full 24/7 . Although it might have been caused by windows wanting to do a update and I did not force restart the server box.
I've tried a reinstall and a restart. As far as I know, my home IP is static, but we've had repeated power outages in the area lately. If my IP has shifted, what can I do to rectify the problem? If the IP hasn't shifted, what might I try? I miss my 1 hour brawls. (And thanks for taking personal interest in the topic, Ekanaut.)
Nevermind. I finally figured out what ol' Ekanaut meant. The server is back up and the hourlong brawls are back on!
Hey, if you want to be a real man and play an hour-long match sometime, you know where to find me, geezer. FOOM's got six.
