Please, we need EU dedicated servers! I know of one EU dedicated, and that one is down right now. If I had the internet for it I would set up myself, but I dont, so someone else please, set it up! Thanks you very much!
Thank you, but your server is always full, we need more servers. Is it possible for you to host 2 servers on the same machine?
My second machine (and internet connections) is capable of hosting 8 server without any trouble and lag. but there is an issue which lies within the design of how players connect. connection is always made through port 27015 (a steam port). there is no way to change that port. every server instance i run will use that port. and since only one server can listen to a port currently it's impossible to host more then one server. I made UE aware of the issue and i think they are now busy developing a server that does not rely on steam. They do want people to be able to host more servers so it's a matter of time.
I think lots of people get the bug where the server hangs when someone connects too, at least my two machines (7-64 & xp-32, so two kinda different systems) got it so I assume it's quite common.
Yesterday I tried to host a dedicated, but then I noticed to have logged in with my Steamaccount only for hosting. Is there a way to host without using a Steamaccount? @racquemis: Can you say how much traffic per day one server has?
I have a average of 18 KB/s download and 45 KB/s upload when the server is at full capacity When you do the match that is: 18x3600x24=1555200 KB downloaded or 1519 Megabyte and 45x3600x24=3888000 KB Uploaded or 3796 Megabyte Currently there is no way to run a server without a steam account However its possible to run the server on a steam account which does not own the game.
Hey, when I'm running my dedicated server I create the server, using my steam account, then I end the steam.exe process. This keeps the server running, and then I can re-log into steam elsewhere (or on the same computer - I'm not a fan of it always telling everyone I'm playing MNC when I'm not) while the server still runs.
