Would any of you buy these bots over saving money for the ejectors, skills, the annihilator etc?

if i am ever buying bots its because i already have my skills and the other team is horrible, and ejectors aren't used nearly as much as people talk about them, yes they come in handy but your not running to them one after another so there never a worry for money.

I only ever buy Gapshots and Bouncers and only when my skills are maxed.

Yes. All Pro spawned bots only cost $100.

No. Juice costs $500, but can be used over and over and over if you don't die before you can use it properly.

I feel like you're just playing devil's advocate. These bots seriously do nothing constructive against buying juice, skills, or the annihilator.

OH, A HOTSHOT GETS SNUFFED OUT BY A SLIMBOT! HE'LL BE DROOLING THE DROOL OF REMORSE INTO THE PILLOW OF REGRET TONIGHT FOLKS HA HA HIYO

They can't buff Scramblers because that would unbalance Blitz apparently. Nevertheless, it'd be sweet if they could cloak, or "phase" in and out a la Necron Wraiths, or even fly!

The Annihilator is on a 60 cooldown and it $250, I don't buy juice unless it's OT or the other team has a monster base, having money for skills is easy to earn. Unless the game is 2 minutes long money shouldn't be a problem.

I think the problem is players are expecting Pro spawned bots to be awesome and do all the work alone. Everyone expect bots to be getting kills all the time.

Buzzers, when not getting stuck on walls, are one of the better spawned bots. A single wave can get a few assists and kills.

Scrambles, when not left on the battlefield alone, are great Pro disablers. Pros like the Tank, Assassin, and Support that rely on their skills Scramblers can put them at a great disadvantage.

Not to mention every Pro spawned bot will go after Turrets and the Moneyball if no enemy Pros are on the floor.

Did you know, that each of those classes you just mentioned OBLITERATE bots? Of course, you also forgot that supports, snipers, tanks, gunners and assaults can all easily destroy scramblers far from their effective range.

And the second point you made there only makes them less useful, since A) they go after turrets over the moneyball, which blows them to pieces and B) only when there's no pros on the same vertical plane, of which there ALWAYS will be.

To be honest, I'd wish practically all of these bots besides buzzers and gapshots would leave pros alone unless they get near other friendly bots.

PS. Tanks are skill reliant? Lol, nope. Passive and weapons are far more important than the occasional product grenade. Being unable to deploy isn't very disruptive on the PC due to virtually no decent health regen or added protection either. Charge doesn't affect bots very much, and it's distance is too short to be used as a sprint either. Not to mention there's still a good chance you'll be counter-charged by the more annoying Assault or killed outright by sniper or support fire.

I get it, the game is still new to you. Give it some time and everything you said in your last post will change.

What? Yeah right. Been playing since the instant it came out on beta, and got to 62. Only stopped playing so far because there are some unbelievable cretins out there who'll build artillery under a ceiling and pick a 2nd sniper, or a 3rd kill farming assassin.

Only time these bots have ever become a problem is in singleplayer Blitz, and that's when A) I'm on my own and B) they come in friggin HOARDES. Here the most they come in is twos occasionally on a wide open map with 12 players running around and an annihilator frenzy the whole time. If they did get close to you then either you're the only one on the team in the lanes or you fell asleep.

I have been playing the game since August when it released on XBox. Just giving you a timeline for how long I've played the game.

On the xbox, which is not the PC, where everyone is either hacking, a moron, or just royally screwed with dodgy performance and connection issues.

Gameplay experience is not cross-platform compatible.

Well that is pretty stupid. I have also been playing the game since the Xbox release and I agree with everything that has been said. Scramblers are by far one of the least threatening/least useful bots. Hell, even slim bots get a kill every once and a while.

It's funny, because those things you mentioned, hacking and performance issues, are things that are typically cons of PC gaming.

As long as I'm not paying M$ any more than the OS and anonymous little pre-pubescent kids don't have more power than any sane man over my freedom to play a game, I forgive all.

Besides, not only can a PC easily out power any console at a high price, but accumulating said wealth to afford it over time and pouring over the motherboard to tweak and upgrade makes it a very interesting and practical hobby.

Just that being 19 and failed to get into university so now unemployed and only earning money on presents and government benefits, I can't get much further than a single AMD HD 6850 and a AMD 3GHz Dual Core processor with SB Audigy sound card yet.

I don't get how general game-play knowledge doesn't apply here?

Scramblers are a bit cruddy even if you spawn them at the same time as a pack of jackbots appears, they don't do enough so I just don't spawn them unless I try it once in a blue moon, which becomes a waste.

Buzzers I like though, they are great for removing the enemy from near your base and especially good on grenade 3 and ammo mule.
