    i say it's at least 3-4 weeks away since we haven't even seen a single in game screen shot let alone any video.

    Announced on the 22nd, in time to officially show off something simple rendered in the engine at PAX East, with the actual alpha starting on the 28th of March.

    That leaves plenty time to have something usable for a trailer by E3 with a beta launch just prior to it.

    I'd say March 30, I've been carefully analysing all the chicken i've cooked next to my PC with these forums open so i could infuse the sweet tender breast with foreknowledge. The color and consistency of it tells me it will be available for download but not announced, and the forum post by garat will follow on April 1st so no one will believe him.

    Also, the changing color of the banner at the top of the page indicates that the game will be played from the commander's first person perspective on Alpha v0.01.
