    It's like Tasty Wheat.

They're in a post apocalyptic future, all the pineapples in existence are probably cloned or otherwise produced artificially. It might have been centuries since the last naturally grown pineapple existed. If so, how's anyone to know whether they grew on trees, on the ground, or for that matter under water?

Because pineapples that grow on the ground unless proven otherwise would make more sense? ._.

I used to have pineapples growing in my back yard. The only guess I can assume for this is that, besides on oversight, things were kept off the ground to protect them from anything that could harm them.

Honestly, I think they meant coconuts but stuck with pineapples.

Gunner is actually from New Jersey. He just watched too many surfer movies in his teenage years.

Another proof: "tiki style" actually means fake Polynesian stuff, not the real deal.

Pineapples were genetically modified to grow on trees to produce more pineapples per plant. Instead of 1 per plant new modified ones grow 6-8 per plant, a tree in this case. It is also proven fact that they are 15% longer due the fact that they are hanging from a tree and are pulled by the gravity. The new genetically modified pineaples were brought to public in 2028, the project "Pineapple tree" was partly sponcored by Mickey Cantor.

    Gravity affecting length?

    Seems like a stretch.

    Get it.

That makes it even more complicated than if pinaeapples did grow on trees.
Try explaining this, you wont make sense out of it either, why would anyone learn to climb trees if he likes pineapples that don't grow on trees? There is no need to climb a tree in order to get pineapples. Therefore the person who likes pineapples has no need to climb trees and can spend his whole life not climbing a single tree and eat pineapples everyday. So again it doesn't make sense.

My guess is that devs don't know that pineapples don't grow on trees.

pineapples could also refer to grenades and using a tree to avoid them.
